Who is this training for?
Every Oregon school serving K-5 students must identify at least one teacher who is responsible for receiving approved training in these content areas: 1) Understanding and Recognizing Dyslexia, 2) Using Evidence-Based Practices to Teach Foundational Reading Skills, and 3) Intensifying Instruction. About This Training
This professional development provides the background knowledge about dyslexia that all elementary teachers need in order to understand why students with dyslexia have difficulty with reading and how to support them in the classroom.
Virtual-Live Format: The Keys trainer will use Zoom video conferencing to deliver this training in an interactive format using features such as breakout rooms and chat.

Who should participate? Grades K-5 educators who are identified to become a dyslexia trained teacher at their school. Any OR educator interested in better understanding why students with dyslexia struggle and how to support them.
