Angie Cloninger, M.Ed.

Trainer

Angie has been an educator for over 30 years. Her career in public schools included being an elementary general education teacher, special education teacher, reading specialist and instructional coach. In 2006, Angie started working at the North Carolina Department of Public Education as a Literacy Consultant in the Exceptional Children Division, and in 2014 became the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) consultant for the Southeast region of NC. Her last position at NC DPI before becoming a Keys to Literacy trainer was as the Professional Development Lead for the MTSS division. In these NC DPI roles, she designed and provided literacy professional development and technical assistance to school systems throughout the state of NC. Angie received a B.S. in K-6 general education with a K-12 special education certification, and an M. Ed. in K-12 Reading Education.
