Concha Wyatt, M.Ed.


Concha Wyatt is a literacy consultant specializing in evidence-based best practices for struggling readers especially those with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. She is an Orton-Gillingham Training Fellow, a Qualified Instructor of Academic Language Therapists, and a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist. Her work with schools and educational nonprofit organizations focuses on training educators to provide high quality systematic explicit instruction in reading, spelling, and writing using a multisensory teaching approach. Concha also works with families as a private Orton-Gillingham practitioner for learners of all ages building their skills in reading and written discourse. Her passion is working with educators and families to build success-oriented and self-confident learners. Concha received her M.A. and B.S. in special education from Western Carolina University. She lives in Asheville, NC, a small city nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, where she spends her free time mountain biking and enjoying the incredible mountain vistas.
