Elise Frangos has worked in several school districts as an English teacher grades 5-12, a curriculum Coordinator, Department Chair, Director of Reading and English Pre-K through grade 12, and most recently as the Assistant Superintendent for the Old Rochester Regional School district before retiring in 2019. She holds an Ed.M from Harvard and an Ed.D in Language Arts and Literacy from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. A certified SEI instructor for teachers, administrators and Consumer Science and Vocational technical teachers, she has helped hundreds of educators earn their SEI endorsement. Elise has delivered many workshops on trauma sensitive teaching, writing and reading strategies, making the most of mentoring, and Understanding by Design. A resident of the MA South Coast, Elise loves reading, writing and kayaking, spending time with her rescue dogs, three children and husband, Paul.
