Lorie is dedicated to equity and closing the literacy achievement gaps. Previously, Lorie was an Ohio State Support Team Region 5 (SSTR5) Educational Consultant and Regional Early Literacy Specialist (RELS), Certified Literacy Facilitator, Literacy Consultant and Coach PreK-12. She was also a Secondary ELA Teacher in Ohio. Throughout the majority of her career, Lorie has been involved with numerous district initiatives related to evidence-based reading and instructional strategies. She has created and facilitated job-embedded Professional Learnings PreK-12.  In addition to district and school work, she presented Professional Developments at Ohio’s Literacy Academy. Lorie received a Master of Science in Education from Lake Erie College including a Reading Endorsement, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-8) at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and her Principal Licensure (K-6) at Walsh University.
