Susan Taft

Since beginning her career in education in 1974 Susan has been a classroom teacher, a building based literacy specialist, a graduate level education instructor and a district Director of Curriculum and Assessment. Throughout her career Susan has been involved in school and district initiatives related to literacy instruction. Her varied experiences have included co-teaching, mentoring new and veteran teachers and presenting model literacy lessons in PreK-12 classrooms. In addition to designing, facilitating and presenting job-embedded professional development at the school and district level she has been a presenter at state, national and international conferences. Susan graduated from Arcadia University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and English and from West Chester State University with an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. In her spare time Susan enjoys hiking, travel, spending time with her family and sharing book titles with friends.
