Susan Taft

Susan is an experienced educator with a passion for teaching and learning.  Since beginning her career in 1974 she has been a classroom teacher, Title I literacy specialist, a graduate level instructor at New England College and a district Director of Curriculum and Instruction.  She has worked in Pennsylvania, Vermont and New Hampshire and her varied experiences have included co-teaching, mentoring new and veteran teachers and presenting model literacy lessons in PreK-12 classrooms.  Throughout her career Susan has been involved in school and district initiatives related to literacy instruction.  In addition to designing, facilitating and presenting job-embedded literacy professional development at the school and district level she has been a presenter at state, national and international conferences.  Susan graduated from Arcadia University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and English and from West Chester State University with an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education.
