Current Position Open:
Full-Time Administrative Assistant
We are currently seeking a full-time administrative assistant who is able to work in our office (i.e., within commuting distance to Rowley, MA). The tasks associated with this position include data entry into assorted software programs, typing reports, creating and organizing electronic folders in Google Workspace, using email and the phone to communicate with school personnel and Keys to Literacy trainers, photocopying, and occasional assembling/shipping of training materials.
Work Hours and Benefits: This is a full-time, onsite, 40-hour per week position (Monday- Friday 8:30-5). Benefits include: paid holidays, 3 personal days, up to 5 paid sick days, and paid vacation (2 weeks the first year, 3 weeks after). Medical benefits are available. Salary Range: $20 to $24 per hour depending on experience.

Consultant/Trainer Positions:
Grades 6-12 Literacy Consultant/Trainer
We are currently seeking part-time, per diem trainers, able to travel, with experience providing literacy training to teachers in grades 6-12. The main responsibility of this position is the delivery of initial training and implementation coaching to teachers in schools and districts for our content literacy courses: The Key Comprehension Routine, The Key Vocabulary Routine, and Keys to Content Writing. In addition to the minimum qualifications listed in the general trainer/consultant description below, this position requires at least five years in grades 6-12 classrooms, college teaching related to adolescent literacy, or 6-12 administration experience.
PreK to Grade 6 Literacy Consultant/Trainer

In addition to the minimum qualifications listed in the general trainer/consultant description below, this position requires at least five years in grades K-6 classrooms, college teaching related to elementary literacy, or elementary administration experience.
About Literacy Teacher Trainer/Consultant Positions
Keys to Literacy is a professional learning company that specializes in providing professional development to grades PreK-12 educators around effective instruction for reading and writing.
Our success and the high level of satisfaction with our training are due to the quality of our training staff. Keys to Literacy trainers consistently receive high evaluation scores and are recognized for their knowledge and ability to effectively train teachers.
To attract the best trainers we provide a collegial work place, expect high levels of collaboration and offer schedule flexibility. The starting daily training rate is $700 per day plus travel time and travel expense reimbursement.
Location: Keys to Literacy offices are located in Rowley, MA. However, the schools we work with are located throughout the country so our trainers can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position will require traveling (driving and flying) at least twice per month to schools as well as virtual-live delivery of training using Zoom.
Availability: Candidates need to be able to deliver a minimum of 5 days of training per month, and be available on weekdays during the school year. This position does not work for educators who have other full-time positions.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree with major coursework related to literacy. Five years classroom, college teaching or administration experience. Significant experience presenting professional development to educators.
Additional Information: Keys to Literacy seeks a teacher trainer/consultant who has knowledge of current research on effective literacy instruction (Science of Reading/Writing). Interpersonal skills with groups is essential, including a strong ability to transmit knowledge and skills to other educators. Strong organization skills are also required. Must have flexibility in scheduling work days, be available during the school year, and be willing to travel. Keys to Literacy will provide training and support to the person who takes this position so they become proficient in delivering our professional development programs.
