Advanced training for building or district level individuals to become a coach facilitator for Keys to Early Writing. The training includes a review of writing instructional practices covered in Keys to Early Writing, suggestions for supporting teacher implementation of these practices, and coaching skills. Prior attendance at a Keys to Early Writing initial training is a prerequisite for Coach Training.
This two-day workshop is for building-based and district-level educators who will be providing support to teachers who have been trained to implement Keys to Early Writing. This program focuses on teaching students in grades K-3 basic composing and writing skills with oral language as a foundation. Participants learn best practices to address the writing requirements of Common Core standards, including sentence skills and frequent opinion, informational, and narrative writing.
