Colleen Yasenchock, M.Ed.

Trainer

Colleen was a Trainer at Keys to Literacy and currently works on special professional development projects. Colleen began her career at a New Jersey high school working with students who struggled with basic literacy and math skills. Her work then shifted to a literacy focus for grades PreK to 3 in schools in Texas, Virginia, and New Hampshire as a classroom teacher, special education teacher, and eventually a literacy specialist, coach, and coordinator. At the Rochester, NH school district, Colleen played a primary role in school improvement and reform and the development of an RTI model. She was an adjunct faculty member at Granite State College, and a full-time Lecturer and Cohort Coordinator at the University of Southern Maine developing and teaching literacy courses. Colleen has over a decade of experience as a literacy trainer and consultant providing support to educators and leaders across the U.S. in settings ranging from remote and rural to large, urban districts with educators from PreK to Grade 12. She has also delivered numerous workshops at state and national literacy conferences.
