Jenn Magner is passionate about mentoring school leaders and teachers and improving education for all students. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Jenn’s educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that all students can learn and that all teachers and administrators can grow. Her commitment to this belief has been evident throughout her career, including roles as a middle school science teacher, a middle and elementary school administrator, and the Director of Instructional Services for a school district in Colorado, where she has systematically helped improve student growth and achievement. She has also been involved with three cohorts of the Early Literacy Grants in Colorado, which has helped raise student literacy achievement significantly.
A commitment to mentoring school leaders and teachers has also been a critical focus of Jenn’s career. She was a mentor in the inaugural year of the Principal Leadership Institute in Colorado, helping shape the next generation of educational leaders. Jenn’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Biology Education from York University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Fort Hays State University. She is also LETRS trained and has a passion for cognitive science, which she uses to drive her work as an educator.
Outside of her work in education, Jenn is a self-proclaimed science nerd who enjoys reading and learning. She is also an avid flower gardener and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
