Karen Savaglia is passionate about serving educational communities in which she leads. With a career spanning over 30 years, she has honed her instructional leadership skills and is a champion of educational equity, transformational leadership, and fostering collective efficacy. Karen has 19 years of experience as a classroom teacher at both the middle and elementary school level. With a strong commitment to research and the science of teaching, she gained a Masters of Science in Education from University of Whitewater, WI with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction, following that up with a Masters of Arts in Education from Alverno College, earning her administrative licenses. Karen has spent the past 17 years in administration as an elementary principal and Director of Instructional Services. Throughout her career, Karen has remained dedicated to fostering equity in education to ensure that each student receives the necessary resources, support and instruction to meet grade level expectations. She is a visionary leader who understands the evolving landscape of education and is committed to securing resources and growing instructional leadership in order to meet the changing needs of students and communities.
