Katy Basch, a Trainer with Keys to Literacy and Literacy Coach at Austin Middle School in Paulding County, Georgia, brings over 25 years of diverse educational experience. From teaching PreK-5th grade to higher education supervision, she’s excelled in various roles. Notably, she served as Senior Lecturer and University Supervisor at Kennesaw State University for 18 years, earning the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2018. Katy earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston, M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Georgia State University, and a Specialist’s Degree from Georgia Southern University. Currently pursuing her Ed.D. at the American College of Education, she holds certifications in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Social Science, Educational Leadership, Gifted Education, and Dyslexia. Outside education, Katy and her husband Steve enjoy traveling, biking, playing tennis, and cherish time with their three grown children and Yorkie Poo, Bella.
