Kim Reynolds has over 26 years of experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, reading interventionist, data & assessment coach, and a professional learning coordinator in various schools and districts in Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Whitworth College in 1990 and her Master’s of Education Degree with a focus in Reading in 1998 from St. Martin’s University in Washington State. Her passion for leading others led her to pursue an Educational Leadership Ed.S. Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014. She has extensive training and background in the Science of Reading and teaching children how to read. She has been a conference speaker in literacy conventions as well as assisting districts write literacy grants.
In 2021, Kim returned to a school district in northern Colorado as a Reading Specialist helping K-3 students who struggle with reading. In this role, she works with 6 small groups of students throughout the day using SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phoneme Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words) program daily to fill gaps in reading abilities in order to help each student reach their full potential. She also consults other teachers and coaches focusing on students who need extra support with reading. In 2021, Kim joined Schools Cubed as a Literacy Consultant specializing in targeted and intensive reading intervention to ensure all students are reading at grade level. Kim in her free time enjoys spending time with her husband, three adult children and learning how to sew quilts.
