Melisa joined the Keys to Literacy team as a National Consultant/Trainer for all of the Keys to Literacy professional development offerings and is also an Assistant Director of Product Development. Melisa has been privileged to work with teachers and students in a variety of educational settings as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and supervisor for practicum students. She also worked as a reading specialist at the Boston University Donald Durrell Reading & Writing Clinic and as an Early Grades Literacy Consultant for state-funded grants. Melisa received her B.A. from Providence College in Elementary & Special Education, a Masters in Reading Education from Boston University, and a C.A.G.S. in Education Leadership & Policy Studies from Boston University/ Wheelock College of Education. When Melisa is not reading children’s books, she can be found savoring the evening glow at the beach and taking nature walks with her husband, three children, and her loving Golden Retriever.
