Jackie brings two decades of rich educational experience to the Keys to Literacy team. She began her career as a high school teacher in the Pittsburgh Public School District prior to becoming a school leader. With a passion for nurturing literacy skills in learners of all ages, she has dedicated her career to fostering a love for reading and writing and demonstrated this with earning her National Board Certification. As a seasoned educator and instructional leader, she has honed her expertise in secondary education and literacy development, equipping students and educators alike with the tools for success. With a background in curriculum design, community engagement, and organization management, she has consistently driven measurable results, earning recognition for her outstanding performance and professionalism. Jackie received a B.A. and Teaching Certification at University of Pittsburgh in 2000. In 2010 she received her k-12 Principal Certification at the University of Pittsburgh.
