Keys to Adolescent Literacy professional learning is grounded in evidence-based practices and complements Joan Sedita’s new book, The Essentials of Adolescent Literacy: Integrating Evidence-Based Reading & Writing Instruction in Grades 5–12.
Throughout the sessions, educators of grades 5-12 will gain:
- Research-grounded strategies for vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and text structure
- Tools for integrating literacy into every content area
- Practical approaches for supporting adolescents with dyslexia, executive function challenges, and other literacy difficulties
- A framework for using assessment data to guide instruction and interventions
Keys to Adolescent Literacy includes nine three-hour sessions (see outline below). Join us for the entire series or select sessions that align with your instructional priorities and needs.
