Are you looking for literacy professional development that is approved by the LA Department of Education? Keys to Literacy is an approved provider of training for two LA literacy initiatives: 1) LA Literacy Foundations Training, 2) LA Literacy Content Leader Training.
LA Literacy Foundations Training
Keys to Literacy (KTL) is an approved provider of Literacy Foundations Training to meet the Act 108 requirement that K-3 teachers and administrators participate in early literacy training based on the science of reading (minimum of 52 hours). Current teachers must begin the training no later than the start of the 2023-24 school year. KTL will work with you to develop a customized professional learning plan that can begin as early as the fall of 2021. School systems will need to indicate on their Achieve! plan the number of teachers and leaders that need to be trained, as well as what vendor they have chosen.
