Need Required URD, FSR, Or II Training? Keys to Literacy is an Oregon Approved Training Provider

Oregon K-5 schools must designate a teacher to receive training across three essential areas, all of which are available through Keys to Literacy.

Understanding and Recognizing Dyslexia (URD)

A customized version of our Understanding Dyslexia has been approved to meet the requirements for Understanding and Recognizing Dyslexia (URD) dyslexia training. Our 6-hour approved training covers dyslexia fundamentals, brain science, screening, and structured literacy instruction.

Courses are available in three formats:

  1. Facilitated Online: Self-paced plus virtual-live sessions
  2. Virtual-Live Training: Full virtual delivery
  3. Live, Onsite Training: In-person at your location

Foundational Reading Skills (FSR) and Intensifying Instruction (II)

A customized version of our Keys to Beginning Reading course is approved to meet FSR and II requirements. This course provides the background knowledge needed to teach all the components of beginning reading instruction. Instructional suggestions are easily transferred to classroom lessons and can be integrated with any reading curriculum or published program.
