Patty Ridlon, M.Ed.

Trainer

Patty is a Trainer at Keys to Literacy and has over 25 years of experience in education, with a focus on supporting literacy in the K-3 setting and as a K-12 Reading Specialist. Throughout her career, she has worked as an MTSS/RTI coordinator, been involved in school and district literacy instruction initiatives, and has presented literacy lessons and evidence-based practices for educators. She is actively involved in the Science of Reading through the Rhode Island Chapter, and has been trained in Orton Gillingham, Pathways to Proficient Reading from AIMS Institute of Research and Learning, and holds a Dyslexia endorsement. Patty has also taught graduate-level classes as an Adjunct Professor in literacy and assessment courses. She believes that teachers are the heart and soul of education and has a sincere passion for supporting literacy development. Patty holds a B.S. from Lesley University and an M.Ed from Rhode Island College. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in the mountains of New Hampshire or by the ocean in Maine with family and friends.
