Helpful Resource: Mass Literacy

by Joan Sedita | 1 | 0 Comments

Mass Literacy is a nonprofit organization supporting literacy education throughout Massachusetts, although their resources can be accessed by anyone. The group focuses on achieving a fully literate population, from children to adults, that is empowered by strong families, passionate teachers, and a literacy workforce.

Mass Literacy partners with public and private organizations to do the following:

  • Recognize and reward leadership and excellence in the field of literacy
  • Empower strong families and a literacy workforce
  • Educate the public about literacy through coordinated media outreach
  • Encourage collaboration and partnerships that strengthen literacy

The Mass Literacy website lists literacy resources, posts a literacy related blog, and lists literacy events.
