About Keys to Literacy

Keys to Literacy (KTL) is a literacy professional development company founded in 2007 doing business throughout the U.S. We specialize in designing, publishing, and delivering literacy PD to educators in grades PK to 12 and Institutions of Higher Education. KTL has significant experience and a national reputation for delivering practical, high-quality PD aligned with the science of reading (SOR). Since 2007 we have provided PD to many thousands of educators in over 500 school districts, in nearly every state in the country, as well as through PD projects with state departments of education.

Professional Development That Makes a Difference!

Our professional development programs are program-neutral, emphasizing a comprehensive understanding of literacy instruction components—phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language—rather than aligning with any specific reading or writing program. This approach ensures that our training is adaptable, equipping educators with the foundational knowledge and skills to enhance literacy instruction across various educational contexts.
